Guaranį - Sol Rio guaranį soft drinks are made from flavor concentrate produced by Companhia Cervejaria Brahma, the largest beverage company in Latin America. We fly the concentrate to Seattle from Rio de Janeiro, and bottle these unique beverages in Washington State. Sol Rio is a genuine guaranį beverage with real guaranį flavor, unlike some products on the market that only include a small amount of a chemical extract from the bean. The chemical extract is no more a guaranį beverage than a caffeine tablet is a cup of coffee. |

Sol Rio Flavors - In addition to the original guaranį, Sol Rio comes in Guaranį/Lime, Guaranį/Cherry and Guaranį/Banana flavors. Each contains the same amount of guaranį concentrate as the original, but with the addition of other natural flavors. |
| Fructose - Sol Rio is sweetened with fructose. (Not to be confused with high fructose corn syrup or HFC.) We go to the extra trouble and expense for two reasons. Fructose "tastes" sweeter, therefore we can use less resulting in approximately 30% to 40% fewer calories than most soft drinks. Second, fructose metabolizes more slowly, avoiding those sugar spikes. | |
